Aiota Photography
Privacy — the short, human version.
Last updated 2026-05-28
I’m Pam. I run Aiota Photography out of my studio in downtown Vancouver. I wrote this page myself, in plain English, because I’d rather you actually read it than scroll past a wall of legalese.
What I see
When you fill out the form on my landing page, I see your first name, your email, your phone number if you chose to give it, and the message you wrote me about why now. That’s it for what you type.
The form also quietly notes where you came from — whether you clicked a Facebook or Instagram ad, what campaign it was, and the page you landed on. That’s so I know which ads are actually reaching people, not so I can build a profile of you.
What I do with it
Your info goes straight into VSCO Workspace, my CRM (formerly Tave). That’s where I keep track of every person I’m talking to about a shoot. Nowhere else. I don’t sell your info, I don’t share it with anyone, and I don’t add you to a newsletter or mailing list unless you explicitly tell me to. The form is for the $200 credit and the 20-minute chat — not list-building.
I personally read every form. You’re not lead #847 on a spreadsheet.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give me your phone number and check the SMS box on the form, I’ll text you about your booking — confirmations, appointment reminders, and the occasional post-session follow-up. That’s it. No promotional blasts. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
Your SMS opt-in and consent are kept private — this information is never shared with anyone, and is never sold or passed to any third parties for their own marketing. Texting is handled through my messaging provider solely to deliver these messages to you.
Tracking pixels (only if you say yes)
The landing page has a cookie banner. If you accept, three tracking pixels fire so I can see whether the ad you saw led to a form submission:
Meta Pixel — tells me, on Meta’s side, that the Facebook or Instagram ad you clicked actually led to someone reaching out. Standard for anyone running paid ads on Meta.
Google Analytics (GA4) — tells me, on Google’s side, the same thing for Google ads. Also gives me an aggregate view of which pages of mine people read before reaching out. I don’t look at individual people’s sessions; I look at trends.
Google Ads conversion tracking — specifically tells Google’s ad system that a form submission happened, so Google can find more people like you who are likely to also want a session.
If you decline the banner, none of the three load and nothing tracks you across Facebook, Instagram, or Google from my page.
Your choice gets remembered in your browser under a key called aiota_consent_v1. Clear your browser data and you’ll be asked again next visit.
The bot stuff
There’s a hidden field on the form that humans never see, and a tiny timer that checks the form wasn’t submitted in under 1.5 seconds. Both exist to block spam bots. They don’t collect anything about you.
If you want it gone
Email me at hello@aiota.ca and ask. I’ll delete your record from VSCO. No forms, no friction, no “please tell us why you’re leaving.” Same email if you just want to see what I have on file, or if you have any other question about this page.
If anything here makes you uncomfortable, please tell me. This page exists because trust matters — especially in the kind of work I do.
